New Years Eve

Happy New Years Eve to all my Loyal Readers. Here's hoping 2007 has done well by you, and 2008 will be even better. For those of you so inclined, I tip my glass of champagne to you. And please join me in singing the following:

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Boxing Day

Today my Loyal Readers from England, Canada, and other Commonwealth Countries celebrate Boxing Day. And you know what that means, great Boxing Week sales all week long! And while not traditionally recognized in America, Boxing Day dates back to the days of the serfs. Tradition has it that gifts among equals were given out before Christmas, but those workers of the lower classes were given their gifts by their Feudal Lords the day after Christmas. So Happy Boxing Day to all my Loyal Readers!

Christmas Eve

Since it's already Christmas Eve, it's time to lay out the milk and cookies for Santa Clause, and go to bed. And for those Loyal Readers who celebrate it, we wish you a very Merry Christmas tomorrow, and a safe and happy Christmas Eve tonight!

If you want to know where Santa Clause is right now, NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, based out of Peterson Air Force Base and the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station deep beneath Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado, can show you his current location.
